Synopsis

El tiempo entre costuras / The time between seams is a Spanish novel written by María Dueñas that narrates the life of Sira Quiroga, a young dressmaker who leaves Madrid before the start of the Spanish Civil War and, by a whim of fate, is forced to found a haute couture workshop in Tetouan, capital of the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco at that time. The novel was published on June 9, 2009, through Temas de hoy editorial, being the first work published by María Dueñas, predecessor of the novels Misión Olvido (2012) and La Templanza (2015), second and third published works by the writer. Since its publication, the novel has received good reviews and acceptance from both professionals and the reading public.
