Alzheimer’s, grandmothers and the transmission of knowledge are the focus of ‘Recetas para el alma’, the play that La Carbonería de la Lola premiered this Friday. With puppets and mixing dream and reality.
The grandmother with foam and a modelled face who stars in Recetas para el alma has a bit of Marisol, Lola, María and Antonia, the grandmothers of Sonia Espinosa, Paloma Fernández Yllana and Aïda Ballmann, director and actresses of the new production of La Carbonería de la Lola. The legacies of the women of previous generations, what is lost along the way due to Alzheimer’s, the transmission of knowledge and the way to preserve their memory is the subject of this work with which the company from Burgos dives into the world of puppets, puppets that allow them to combine the world of dreams and the world of reality.
