Canarian filmmaker Jennifer Castañeda adapts her own novel in her feature debut.
Gleich, Jeniffer Castañeda’s debut film, is the story of “a friendship beyond words”, an impossible bond between a boy traumatised by a family loss and an elderly man with intellectual disabilities who manage to communicate despite not even sharing a language. A film whose story travels between the past and the present, set in the Canary Islands and which reflects on the weight of memories in decisions.
