Aïda Ballmann will impart a film workshop at IES Garoé in which she proposes a cinematographic bridge between Africa and Europe

Aïda Ballmann collaborates with DocuRock film festival

The Herreña actress will give a film workshop tomorrow, Friday 14th October, at this educational centre in the capital of the island after the screening of her documentary “Sand Path” as part of the activities of the DocuRock International Film Festival, which this year celebrates its eighth edition. Ballmann has participated in productions such as “El tiempo entre costuras”, “Águila Roja”, “Lo que escondían sus ojos” and films such as “The Extraodinary Tale” and “The Europeans”.

“Sand Path” is a 22-minute documentary short film shot in a “road movie” format that unifies European and African culture by rasing, from an individual point of view, a universal concept: If human and cultural values, as a global good, were above political and economic interests, would wars exist?, what would happen if emigration were a free right?
