A\u00efda Ballmann, the actress born in El Hierro, is experiencing a 2025 of international recognition and creative expansion. This thriller<\/em> with dark comedy undertones, filmed partly in southern Europe, explores the limits of deception, friendship, and survival. Premiering this fall on ITVX and BBC, the series represents a new step in the international career of the Canary Islands actress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Also noteworthy is her performance in Malnombre<\/em>, a Spanish vampire series created by Alfonso Cort\u00e9s-Cavanillas, who also directs several of its episodes. Alexis Morante (Heroes<\/em>, The Universe of Alejandro Sanz<\/em>) is the director of this Morena Films production, which features a cast headed by Toni Acosta, Freddie Dennis and Jaime Zatar\u00e1in. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n Her participation in The End of It<\/em> stands out, alongside the renowned Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina<\/em> Barcelona<\/em>). Filmed in the Canary Islands, this international co-production, directed by Mar\u00eda Mart\u00ednez Bayona, proposes a philosophical and emotional look at life and death in a future where aging can be cured.<\/p>\n\n Meanwhile, A Man Behind a Rifle <\/em>is a Canarian western<\/em>, the debut film of director Marco Oliva, in which Ballmann plays Matilda and Luisa, two characters who embody strength and resilience. The film, shot in natural settings in the Islands, reclaims the island landscape as a cinematic territory and brings a new voice to Spanish genre cinema.<\/p>\n\n In addition, Ballmann explores her role as a creator with the short films Satisfyer<\/em> and A Paradise Hell<\/em><\/em>, co-written, co-directed and starring alongside the Andalusian actress Carmen Corchs. These sitcoms, in which she plays Candela, ironically portray the unease of two women who have everything, but are only able to perceive the negative in their lives.
